I have decided to feature some of my favorite original comic/manga artists!
Let's begin.
1. "Amaranth" by *silentillusion
[link]
Amaranth is not only an interesting story with neat characters, but a great inspiration. Look at the ever-increasing art style quality! It makes people like me into jealous losers. One of the pages even got a Daily Deviation. Like whoa! Compare the page that got it to the first paneled page. Pretty crazy how much the style has changed. And who doesn't like a story about people with crazy horns? Over 50 pages.
2. "PsychoticChild" by *PaperCell (but featured at an account for the comic alone, ~Psychotic-Child which also has art relating to the comic)
[link]
I've always loved PsychoticChild's design, which used to be PaperCell's own self-representation but has grown into a completely new and original character, not because it's "pretty" or "sexy" or whatnot but because it so perfectly captures the childish imagination - yet violent mentality - that the character is incomplete without. I'm still not sure what the Child's gender is, but all in due time, I guess. Also, the main character (Zachary Raven GETAWAYFROMHIMSHELIAI'MHISBIGGESTFANHISSSS ) is hot, whoop-whoop! Over 100 pages.
3. "The Locked Maze" by ~mleiv
[link]
The Locked Maze is crazy, super detailed, and rather like an acid trip. It reminds me a lot of like, Silent Hill mixed with Alice in wonderland mixed with.. hell I don't even know. But it's awesome, there are fairies. Or "the friendly folk". There is the first and its "sequel" per say but both are awesome. I'm not sure how to count the pages.
4. "Holiday" by *KittyPaint
[link] (first page)
Now I'll be honest with you. I usually really, really hate anything that has some strange rendition of Santa Claus or any other holiday figure. HOWEVER, Holiday doesn't JUST tell a story about some random holidays and random characters doing random funloving things. Oh no. Holiday is the most badass of any story you will find involving elves and imps and the like. The style is crazy and unique, the dialogue is witty and cleverly worded, and the whole thing just makes you want MORE MORE MORE but sadly there are only around 30 pages so far! Each of the major holidays has been turned into "syndicates", which makes a badass mafia feel present in this comic's pages. Also check out "Dominoes and Alligators", a sweet wordless comic :3
That's all I really have for now, but I hope you enjoyed it!
Go make your own comics so you can be on this list too one day!
